Students work with faculty on Quality Improvement Projects, focused on optimizing health care processes to make them safer, more efficient, and more effective. High Pass Rate

The WesternU MSN-E boasts an impressive pass rate of 98.7% among California test takers (well above the average 85%)—a testament to our faculty’s dedication to student success.

Scholarship Support

WesternU awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships in 2024, with up to 40 students receiving $25,000 in scholarship money to help cover their MSN-E program.

Licensure Testing at 16 Months

Students take their board licensure tests in the 5th semester, just 16 months into the program—ahead of other nursing master’s programs. You will go from matriculation to licensure in less time and graduate with your Master of Science in Nursing in just 24 months.

Specialized Externships

Choose your area of interest

Whether you want to work in emergency, labor and delivery, intensive care, or another area of nursing, our externship opportunities give you a head start, providing the real-world experience you need to succeed in that specialty. And while the Board of Registered Nursing only requires 500 hours for one to be considered a safe and competent nurse, our nursing students receive 900 clinical hours so you’ll enter the field better prepared.
