  • GrantSeeker Program

    GOAL: Increase competitiveness of extramural grant proposals (scientific content)

    1. PI submits draft of grant proposal to Oregonresearchoffice@westernu.edu.
    2. PI submits names of 3 national experts in the field to the same email above.
    3. Research Office pays an honorarium to experts for their review
    4. Oregon Research Office schedules a “study section” via zoom
    5. Experts provide feedback and may recommend funding (up to 25K) to improve proposal

    To Set up OpenScholar:

    • Visit our sign-up page https://research.westernu.edu/get-started
    • Choose from two templates (themes: “Eligendi” or “Modern Lab”)
    • Complete the form (name and email)
    • Receive a welcome email containing access to your selected template and further instructions to add content
    • You can now configure your site to import new citations from PubMed

    Automatic imports from PubMed

    • OpenScholar will automatically pull in anything posted within the previous 24 hours
    • You can customize the query to include publications from one or more authors.
