Welcome!
We are excited to have you join us as a presenter for a CETL Session.
The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) provides ongoing professional development sessions for the faculty and staff at WesternU. The department typically hosts 12-15 sessions each month and has an average monthly attendance of 150-200 individuals.
This page will help you prepare for your CETL presentation by providing you with tips, information, and tools to help your presentation look its best! And, as always, were here to help! CETL Presenter Toolbox
CETL has created a template for your PowerPoint Presentation slides. While it is not required to use these slides for your presentation, the template provided will help to guide you in good presentation design.
We strongly recommend the use of these slides for your upcoming CETL presentation.

A typical session will be formatted as follows:

15 minutes prior – Host will open Room for the presenter to prepare

2-5 minutes prior – any attendees will be admitted from the waiting room

Time: Facilitator will introduce speaker and Topic Title

Conclusion: The facilitator will thank attendees and the presenter, and remind attendees that a follow-up email with evaluation will be emailed.
CETL Sessions are typically 45-50 minutes in length. We have provided some Session Agenda Examples below if you’re worried about how to manage your time and fill 45-50 minutes of content.
