Maria Fahie is a Professor in Small Animal Surgery at Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine. She welcomes opportunities for collaboration in clinical small animal surgical projects and research mentoring of Small Animal Surgery residents / interns, with a special interest in the following areas:

  • Clinical applications of stem cell and platelet therapy for osteoarthritis
  • Gait analysis (pressure walkway system) for objective measures of postoperative recovery or response to therapy
  • Retrospective analyses of surgical case management

Equine Medicine and Surgery
Dr. Faramarzi is an Assistant Professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine, Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine. His research is focused on Equine Sport Medicine, Biomechanics and distal limb injuries. He welcomes opportunities for collaboration in clinical studies and research mentoring of Equine Medicine and Surgery residents / interns, with a special interest in the following areas:

  • Biomechanics and gait analysis (Force Plate; Pressure Plate and High Speed Camera)
  • Musculoskeletal injuries in horses in particular distal limb and foot injuries
  • Acupuncture and its effect on musculoskeletal injuries
