Instructional Design

Instructional Design & Learning Development

The Instructional Design & Learning Development (IDLD) team is comprised of:

A medical case study presentation featuring a healthcare professional, examination options, and a chest X-ray. The interface includes buttons for examining patient history, physical exam, and lab results.

Instructional Design (e-learning)

The ID team can help redesign paper-based cases to virtual cases using Articulate Storyline. We can also assist with redesigning slides or recorded lectures into engaging, interactive online modules.

Instructional Design (Elentra)

The ID team can assist you with your course pedagogy and technology to enhance student learning in Elentra including best practices for displaying course content and Learning Events.

Training & Development

We offer regular CETL sessions on a variety of topics for all faculty and staff at WesternU. In some cases, we can customize training and/or workshops to meet faculty and staff needs.

Teaching Consultations

We can consult on teaching concerns or issues, advise on incorporating evidence-based teaching best practices into the classroom and suggest active learning activities to engage students in the classroom.
