    Join us for a round of medical school mock interviews hosted via Zoom by the faculty and medical students at WesternU COMP-Northwest.  Three pre-med students currently applying to medical schools have volunteered to be mock interviewed live, followed by feedback and discussion with the panel.  This is part of the Osteopathic Awareness event series brought to you by WesternU – College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific-Northwest.

    Preparing a strong application starts with telling your story clearly and thoughtfully. Join us for the OD Letter of Recommendation and Personal Statement: Crafting Your Story Workshop, designed to help prospective and re-applicants strengthen these important parts of the application process. This session will provide guidance on selecting strong letter writers, understanding what makes an effective letter of recommendation, and developing a personal statement that highlights your experiences, motivation, and readiness for optometry school. Attendees will also receive tips on how to prepare before the application opens and how to approach the process with confidence.

Our Assistant Director of Recruitment, TJ Pe, will be available to answer your admissions questions and/or get you connected with DPM students and faculty for more in-depth information about the program and career.     Join us for a Zoom presentation on the WesternU COMP and COMP-Northwest curriculum.  Dr. Talbot, Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, will speak on the systems based approach used during the first two years of medical school, along with information on Interprofessional Education, Service Learning and more.  Next, Dr. White, Associate Dean, Clinical Education and Associate Professor of Family Medicine, will speak on the clinical third and fourth year rotations and the pathway on to residency.  The faculty presenters will be joined by medical students who will share their insights and experiences, followed by a Q&A session with the audience.

Our Assistant Director of Recruitment, TJ Pe, will be available to answer your admissions questions and/or get you connected with DPM students and faculty for more in-depth information about the program and career. This is an open session that you may enter and leave at your own convenience.
