Determining if your pet has an emergency can be challenging. Our staff is here to advise you in deciding if your pet needs emergency care.

There is always someone to help you in case of an accident or a sudden illness. WesternU Pet Health Center knows how important it is to get emergency treatment for your cat or dog right away. Call us at 909-865-2433 and we will refer you to the right place for emergency care.

When to seek emergency veterinary care

These are some urgent veterinary crises that require immediate attention:

  • Severe accident
  • Broken bone
  • Hit by a car
  • Attack by another animal
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Vomiting that goes on for an extended time or vomiting blood
  • Severe diarrhea or bloody diarrhea
  • Obstetrical problems
  • Collapse
  • More than one seizure in a 24-hour period
  • Severe pain or
  • Severe cough – Difficulty breathing
