Dr. Clara Kim is a native of Southern California. She attended UC Berkeley for undergraduate studies where she received Bachelor of Art in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology. Dr. Kim graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She was active at the HSDM representing the graduate student body and was elected as the president of many student organizations. She received the outstanding student in periodontology award from American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Kim then attended the University of Southern California, Advanced Periodontology Program where she received her Certificate in Periodontology and Masters of Science in Craniofacial Biology. During her residency, Dr. Kim was extensively involved in research on teeth with periodontal involvement. She presented her research findings at USC Research Symposium and CSP annual meeting. Dr. Kim received her board certification in periodontology in 2011.
