Father’s Day

President’s Office

June 21, 2026

Dear WesternU Community,

On this Father’s Day, I extend my warmest wishes to all fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, fathers-in-law, foster fathers, adoptive fathers, mentors, guardians, and father figures across our WesternU family.

Today offers us an opportunity to recognize the many ways fatherhood and paternal love are expressed: through guidance, sacrifice, quiet strength, encouragement, protection, patience, and presence. For many, this day is filled with gratitude, celebration, and cherished family traditions. For others, it may bring tenderness, grief, longing, or reflection. We hold all of these experiences with compassion and respect.

At WesternU, we understand that family takes many forms, and that the people who shape our lives often do so through acts of love that are steady, humble, and enduring. We are grateful for those who have helped us become who we are, who have supported our journeys, and who have modeled integrity, resilience, service, and care.

To the fathers and father figures within our campus community: thank you for the countless ways you nurture, teach, lead, mentor, and inspire. Your influence extends not only within your families, but also through the lives you touch as educators, clinicians, researchers, staff members, students, alumni, and friends of WesternU.

As a university dedicated to humanism, healing, service, and compassion, we pause today to honor the deep and lasting impact of paternal care in all its forms. May this Father’s Day bring moments of peace, gratitude, connection, and remembrance to each of you.

With warm regards,
Robin Farias-Eisner, MD, PhD, MBA
