Room Reservations and Space Allocation Requests

Reservations are required for the use of all designated rooms, areas, or grounds on campus. Reservations may at no time interfere with academic/curriculum needs.

Reservations are made by designated Schedulers in each department who have been trained in the use of the automated Resource Scheduler program. Generally, rooms or areas are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Rooms and areas other than classrooms may be scheduled up to 12 months in advance.

Reservations can be viewed at anytime on campus through the Resource Scheduler Calendars (on-campus only). Faculty and staff may use their WesternU Network/Email log in to view these Calendars and identify available options.

To reserve a room or area, you must contact one of the designated schedulers in your department. When you contact the Scheduler, be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Date
  • Start and end time
  • Type of room/area required
  • Number of attendees
  • Name of the requesting department
  • Specific name of the class/meeting/event
  • Facilities setups (furniture re-arrangement, extra chairs, etc.)
  • Technology needs, including audio/visual equipment or services, network connection,
    computer equipment, etc.

For more detailed information about resource scheduling at WesternU, please review the policy and procedure governing room reservations and the use of Resource Scheduler.

NOTEDue to the shortage of available rooms on campus, WesternU cannot reserve rooms for purposes other than university business at this time.
