WesternU Disbursement and Loan Cancellation Information
WesternU students that have completed all of the registration and financial aid requirements, and do not have any holds on their student account, in good academic standing and full time status, should be eligible for disbursement based on how much the student borrowed.
Disbursements will be applied to the students account to pay off tuition and fees, if there is a credit balance it will be disbursed to the students checking account on the students scheduled disbursement date.
Loan disbursement dates are based on the length of each program’s enrollment period.
Federal regulations require that all federal funds be divided into equal payments.
Incoming students will be able to access their disbursement information for their program AFTER they have been assigned a WesternU email address and an officially enrolled student.
You may cancel or reduce the amount of your loan(s) by completing the Loan Adjustment Form located at Financial Aid Student SharePoint site , and submitting it to the Financial Aid Office. In addition, you may cancel all or part of your loan(s) after your loan funds have been disbursed by completing the Loan Adjustment form. If funds are returned to the Department of Education within 120 days of the disbursement of funds to the university, interest and/or loan fees that are assessed will be waived. Please see a financial aid counselor for any questions regarding the return of funds back to your lender or you may contact us at email@example.com
