Cancellation Policy for the February 28, 2026 Event:
- Cancellations made 15 days or more before the event will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made between 14 and 8 days before the event will receive a 25% refund.
- Cancellations made 7 days before the event are non-refundable.

Distinguished Alumni Award
The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor the Western University of Health Sciences can bestow upon an alumnus/alumna. It recognizes an alumnus/alumna for their leadership and whose culmination of success in his or her career is exemplified by their exceptional levels of service to the university, community, and/or society. These individuals are chosen on the following basis:
- Exceptional Professional Achievement – sustained excellence in their chosen field, national or international recognition, recipient of prestigious awards, holding top leadership positions, or providing groundbreaking contributions.
- Impact and Influence – having a significant positive impact on society or the profession; known for thought leadership, innovation, or advancing the field in meaningful ways; serves as a role model within their profession.
- Service and Citizenship – demonstrates a strong commitment to public service, philanthropy, or social good.
- Commitment to WesternU College of Pharmacy – has remained actively engaged with WesternU College of Pharmacy through mentorship, volunteering, speaking, or philanthropic support; enhances the reputation of the College through their visibility and actions.
- Inspiration to Others – serves as an inspirational figure for students, alumni, and the broader community.
Alumni Achievement Award
The Alumni Achievement Award recognizes alumnus/alumna who have distinguished themselves among their peers, typically within the first 5-20 years post-graduation. These individuals have made outstanding contributions in one or more of the following ways:
- Exceptional accomplishment in advancing the profession of pharmacy, pharmaceutical Industry, and/or research.
- May have earned awards, promotions, or recognition from employers, peers, or professional organizations for their contributions to their field.
- Serves as leaders in professional organizations or participates in community outreach and public health initiatives.
- Exceptional service in support of the advancement and continued success of WesternU COP’s mission of educating future pharmacy professionals and other engagement with the College.
Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award recognizes an alumnus/alumna that have graduated within the past five years for their professional accomplishments, engagement with the university, and/or significant contribution to the community or society. Nominees are also evaluated on:
- Professional Achievement: career movement and development, professional recognition, professional accomplishments, and significant contributions to nominee’s profession.
- Personal and Professional Development: use of traditional or innovative approaches in enhancing personal and professional growth.
- Personal Achievement: personal recognition received, the balance between personal and professional roles, the achievement of personal goals, and the dedication to continual betterment of themselves.
- Community (local, state, national, international) Service: scope and breadth of service nominee has provided, the impact of their actions on the community, and involvement in a variety of service initiatives.
- University Service: nominee’s support of university initiatives, involvement in university programs and/or service on university boards or committees or project teams.
Distinctive Service Award
The Distinctive Service Award recognizes an individual who has provided outstanding service to the university through preceptorship, mentorship, committee work, volunteer hours, and giving back to the university.
Outstanding Corporate Partner Award
The Outstanding Corporate Partner Award recognizes a corporation’s commitment to the Western University of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy and its’ support of the College’s mission and vision. Factors to consider for this award include, but are not limited to: long-term, meaningful collaboration with the College; significant monetary or in-kind contributions; positive influence on WesternU stakeholders; and active promotion and advocacy for WesternU in external forums.
Create Care Connect Award
The Create Care Connect Award recognizes an individual who embodies the motto of the WesternU College of Pharmacy. This award can be given to any individual. They need not be a member or graduate of the College nor involved in the practice of pharmacy or pharmaceutical research. This award honors individuals who consistently demonstrate outstanding creativity, compassion, and commitment to fostering meaningful connections within their community or organization. This award celebrates those who go above and beyond in their efforts to inspire innovation, care for others, and build relationships that create a positive impact on people’s lives. Recipients of this award are role models who embody the spirit of creativity, empathy, and connection.
