Welcome! The word bursar is an unknown term to many people; it is traditionally used in colleges to mean ‘an officer in charge of funds.’
The Bursar’s Office at WesternU is responsible for billing and collecting tuition, fees, and emergency loans, servicing student accounts, and providing helpful information to students in transacting their business with the University. Our Office is also charged with receiving and depositing all other University funds generated from auxiliary sales and services, contracts and grants, gifts and donations, from both private and federal sources.
Our Core Principles
The following core principles guide the work we do in the Office of the Bursar:
- Complete and professional interaction every time
- Accountability based on consistent reliability
- Unquestionable concern for confidentiality and accuracy
- Skilled counseling with accurate information
WesternU has partnered with HigherOne’s CASHNet, which will provide students convenient access to electronic bills and payment services 24/7. CASHNet can be accessed directly through your BanWeb Self-Service account. Start by selecting the Student Services Menu, and then View/Pay Student Account.
