Chuck Douville, MD, FACS
Dr. Douville graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine in 1982. He completed surgical residency at University of Cincinnati in 1988 and a thoracic surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1991. After a career in private practice at The Oregon Clinic in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery, he joined the Providence Heath leadership team in 2017 where he held a variety of surgical leadership positions.
Norman E. Vinn, DO
Dr. Vinn is a board-certified family practitioner, is the founder and CEO of The Residentialist Group Inc., a management services organization specializing in development and management of residentialisthousecall networks that serve frail, elderly, and other access-challenged patients. Dr. Vinn specializes in home-based geriatric medicine. His residentialist network enhances traditional housecall services with inter-professional team care and a state-of-the-art integrated technology platform. Dr. Vinn holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Tulane University and a DO degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his postdoctoral medical training at what is now Beaumont General Hospital in Farmington Hills, MI, and later attended the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, where he obtained a Master of Business Administration degree.In addition to his current leadership activities within the American Academy of Home Care Medicine, Dr. Vinn has had an extensive career in professional association governance and leadership. He served as the 2013–14 president of the American Osteopathic Association and is the board chair of the American Osteopathic Information Association, an organization affiliated with the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and dedicated to advancing technology, practice management, advocacy, and medical informatics. Dr. Vinn resides in San Clemente, CA, with his wife, Marsha. Norm joined the AAHCM board in late 2019 as the President-Elect and became President in late 2021.
Robyn Liu, MD
Dr. Robyn Liu is a proud Family Medicine physician who takes care of families and patients of all ages at the Kaiser Interstate Medical Office in North Portland. She was born and raised in Belleville, Kansas and became a physician at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. Never satisfied with knowing half the story, Dr. Liu earned her undergraduate degree in History and Science at Harvard College, learning about the when and why of medicine, as well as the what and how. A love of science and a fascination with humans and their stories made the specialty of Family Medicine an obvious fit. She completed residency at Oregon Health & Science University, with dual board certification in Family Medicine as well as Preventive Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Liu earned her MPH degree at Portland State University with a focus on health management and policy. Dr. Liu’s career has encompassed full-scope rural medicine, health care policy, clinical epidemiology, teaching, and faculty development. Her most-listened podcasts are The Sounds in My Head, Switched On Pop, and Good One: A Podcast About Jokes. Dr. Liu lives in Portland with her husband, three kids, and a high-maintenance cat.
Tricia James, MD
Dr. James is an Internal Medicine physician and Director of Clinician Experience who is passionate about transforming healthcare into a space that supports the needs of everyone providing care in addition to patients. She also continues to practice clinically, teach in a residency program and coach other physicians. She still loves providing direct patient care and teaching, mentoring, coaching and supporting people in medicine as they navigate complex work and systems.
Dr James has been leading organizational well-being change at Providence for over 15 years with multiple publications, national presentations and success stories. She is deeply driven to help empower individuals and teams to recognize their power in helping to create a better future for medicine. She believes that we need to invest in our people and trust them as a source of creativity, wisdom, and inspiration to help us navigate a tremendously challenging time together.
Seger S. Morris, DO, MBA
Dr. Morris is a physician, executive, writer, and speaker whose non-traditional path fuels a passion for integrating business and leadership principles with medical education and healthcare delivery. With a formal education and experience in business, management, and leadership prior to entering medical school, Dr. Morris earned his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine then completed Internal Medicine Residency at Magnolia Regional Health Center (MRHC) in Corinth, MS. For over a decade in community-based medical education he led clinical, administrative, and academic teams to new achievements by integrating patient care, quality and safety, and the business principles foundational to modern systems-based practice. Now, he pays the lessons from those experiences forward as author of the book Let Me Lead: Escaping the Experience Bias and Excelling as an Early-Career Professional and speaks nationally on a variety of topics relevant to medical students, physicians, and early career professionals. Dr. Morris currently works in managed care, remains active in both academic and clinical medicine, and continues his commitment to professional service as President-elect of the American Osteopathic Foundation among other regional and national roles.
Reva Ricketts-Loriaux, DO
Dr. Reva Ricketts-Loriaux is a board-certified pathologist and accomplished leader with a longstanding commitment to clinical excellence, health equity, and community engagement. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Westbury, Long Island. She completed her residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, followed by a prestigious surgical pathology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, with a focus on breast pathology. She also completed a fellowship in cytopathology at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Ricketts-Loriaux has been with Northwest Permanente, PC, since 2008 and currently serves as the Medical Director of External Affairs for Northwest Permanente. In this role, she oversees the Physician Ambassador Program, government relations, and community engagement, fostering meaningful connections between clinical leadership and the broader community. Her leadership extends to several professional organizations. She has served on the Northwest Permanente Board of Directors for two consecutive terms with service ending in December 2025. She has represented Oregon as a delegate to the American Medical Association since 2021. She is also a member of the Oregon Medical Association’s Board of Trustees and Executive Committee, and has served on its Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee since 2019. Dr. Ricketts-Loriaux has held various leadership roles within the OMA, including Vice-Speaker, Speaker, and Secretary/Treasurer. Dr. Ricketts-Loriaux is the current President Elect and will be install as the next President on the OMA in October 2026. A passionate advocate for equity in healthcare, Dr. Ricketts-Loriaux is a co-founder of the Cascade Medical Association, the Oregon chapter of the National Medical Association, where she continues to advance representation and inclusion in medicine. Dr. Ricketts-Loriaux is excited about the future of medicine and partners with community base organizations like the MIKE Program, Oregon Medical Education, Foundation (OMEF) and Urban League that are focused on increasing representation in medicine for historically, underrepresented people. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her family. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys hiking, gardening, international travel and exploring the Pacific Northwest. She is deeply committed to physician wellness and resilience, believing that caring for those who care for others is essential to a thriving healthcare system.
Caleb Hentges, DO
Dr. Hentges is a board-certified Pediatrician who joined PMC in the fall of 2023. Born and raised in Arizona, he graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Kinesiology, before earning his osteopathic medical degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. He began his pediatric residency in South Dakota and completed it at Oklahoma State University in Tulsa, OK. Throughout his career, Dr. Hentges has held various leadership roles, including serving on the board of trustees for the American Osteopathic Association as both a student and resident. He is currently a member of the board of directors and the incoming President of the Osteopathic Physician and Surgeons of Oregon. Passionate about education, he enjoys teaching medical students and welcoming them to clinic for rotations.
Derrick Oaxaca, MD, MBA, MS
Dr Oaxaca is Chief Medical Officer and a practicing emergency physician at Bay Area Hospital on Oregon’s southwest coast. Board-certified in emergency medicine, fellowship-trained in administrative medicine, and certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Dr. Oaxaca works at the intersection of clinical care, operations, and organizational strategy to build safer, more accessible, and more sustainable healthcare systems. He earned his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, completed his emergency medicine residency at Indiana University School of Medicine, and received his MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. A published researcher, educator, and healthcare leader, Dr. Oaxaca received the American College of Emergency Physicians’ 2025 Community Emergency Medicine Excellence Award for his contributions to advancing care in the communities he serves.
Micah Thorp, DO, MPH, FACP, FASN
Dr Thorp is a Nephrologist at Northwest Permanente where he has practiced for over 25 years. After graduating from Oregon State University, he went to medical school at University of Des Moines, attended Internal Medicine Residency at Providence St Vincent’s and a Nephrology Fellowship at Oregon Health and Sciences University where he also completed a Master’s in Public Health. He joined Northwest Permanente in 2000 where he sees patients and is an affiliate investigator at Kaiser’s Center for Health Research where he works primarily in predictive analytics.
At Northwest Permanente he has held executive positions as Chief of Nephrology, Vice President of Business Affairs and President of Morlen Health. At the Center for Health Research, he has served as co-director of the Predictive Analytics Unit. Currently Dr Thorp serves on the Oregon Medical Board.
In addition to his medical career Dr Thorp enjoys creative writing. His latest novel, Aegolius Creek was published by Type Eighteen Books in 2025.
Saroj Misra, DO, FACOFP
Dr. Misra is the Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine at A.T. Still University (ASTUKCOM). In this role, he oversees all students in years 3 & 4 located at the 25+regional sites for his college. Prior to assuming the role of Associate Dean, Dr. Misra served
as has also served as Director of Medical Education/Designated Institutional Officer for Henry Ford Warren and Madison Heights Hospitals (formerly Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital), overseeing (at the time) the largest Osteopathic academic program in the country, with 20 residencies and fellowships and approximately 200 osteopathic residents as well as 120 medical students from three different medical schools and as Program Director of the Family Medicine residency at in Michigan for 16 years; hecontinues to serve as Core Faculty and Chief of the Department of Family Medicine. In addition, Dr. Misra served from 2013-2016 as Michigan State
University-College of Osteopathic Medicine’s (MSUCOM) first Director of Clinical Clerkship Curriculum, spearheading the largest curricular change in the college’s history. While there, he helped the College to receive the American Medical Association’s ‘Accelerating Change in Medical Education’grant and become one of only three osteopathic colleges faculty in the country to be awarded this grant. Nationally, he serves on the Board of Governors for the ACOFP and serves as the Chair of the Postdoctoral Training Review Committee for the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Misra has had a career-long interest in undergraduate and graduate medical education.
