DIABETES & ENDOCRINOLOGY
Our research in diabetes and endocrinology focuses on understanding and addressing common metabolic diseases, including obesity, diabetes, and dyslipidemia, with a particular emphasis on the Southern California population. We aim to identify genes and mechanisms underlying these conditions to develop new therapeutic strategies. Our work also explores the link between diabetes and oral health, including its role in periodontal disease and tooth loss, underscoring the need for integrated care strategies.
