Health & Wellness

Best foot forward…

As DPM students are navigating the intense atmosphere of medical school, WesternU encourages the utilization of both mental and physical wellness resources. WesternU provides access to national programs such as OPTUM and Soultenders for mental health services and on-campus counselors available for appointments. The Office of Student Affairs can also connect students with apps, podcasts, and physical health opportunities.

Behavioral & Mental Health Services

WesternU CPM students have access to a variety of behavioral health services. For more information, please see the Counseling Services page of the WesternU website.

Nutrition & Fitness

The College of Podiatric Medicine and WesternU encourage physical activity to be a part of our students’ lives. As a benefit, WesternU offers discounted membership to LA Fitness and SamFit gyms or reimbursements for other gyms in the area. Additionally, CPM encourages our students to explore the local area by hiking, biking, walking, and more. We want all of our students to find a way to get their bodies moving.

Spiritual Development

WesternU CPM is committed to fostering a diverse community where everyone can practice spiritual development. We recognize the need for spiritual growth in many lives of our students. We are sensitive to the needs of our learners while they navigate podiatric medical school.

For those that seek a quiet place to practice their continued spiritual development, WesternU has an Interfaith Room centrally located for all students in the Health Sciences Center (HSC) room 125A.

Have a question about navigating a particular aspect of the curriculum while observing your faith? Please contact CPM Student Affairs for more information.
